It was most unfortunate that football spectators in most localities across the under developed world usually failed to learn from previous lessons as far as the round leather game is concerned
This was simply as a result of their inability to uphold whatever happened in the course of the match in good faith
Saturday the eighth of November 2025, an unwanted incident occurred at Muhammad Dikko Stadium in Katsina when visiting Barau were playing against home team Katsina United
The situation not only led to colossal damage of the visitors vehicles but the worse part of the story was how one of their players was stabbed with an object as the game ended one goal apiece
This was highly an absurd and irrationality as it was coming some weeks after similar happening at Sani Abacha Stadium which led to banishment of Kano Pillars to neighbouring Katsina to honour its home matches
Definitely, from what occurred it glaringly showed how bad some of us are in taking lessons from past blunders as actions were taken against offenders with a view to serving as deterrent to others no matter how highly placed
The rest is now history but what we are praying for as the soccer ruling body it is an impartial arbiters in matters regarding the game is to ensure justice takes it cause as people are watching from far and wide
During the fracas at Sani Abacha in the match involving Pillars and Shooting Stars of Ibadan actions were taken in just a short period of time like twinkle of an eye in this case we would fold our arms and await the outcome of the verdict as we are firmly certain that justice will be done over the unruly behaviour of the Katsina fans
