Profoundly,as attention has now geared towards the upcoming African Cup of Nations to be held in the North African country of Morocco participating teams have been making final preparations as the tourney approaches so as not to be caught unawares
Among the Countries is Central African Nation of Cameroon
The country’s team called the Indomitable Lions are arguably among the super powers of the round leather game in the continent as they lifted the trophy on record four time
But surprisingly as all eyes now focus on biennial events notable stars that have been featuring for the team year in year out have been overlooked by the team’s selectors this time around
They include Manchester United’s goalie who was sent on loan to Trabzonspor of Turkey Onana and former central striker Vincent Abubakar
Certainly , nobody will describe the congent reason behind dropping the duo but according to a source it will not be unconnected with how the country was sacked by Leopards of Congo in the recent African play off to determine who will play in the upcoming world cup to be held in America Canada and Mexico
The source added that the lack lustre performance of the two players did not go down well with the aim of the president of the Cameroon’s Football Federation FECAFOOT former soccer star Samuel Eto’o hence their omission
