A humanitarian organization, Kashe Kwabo Foundation, has provided free eye care services and circumcision for vulnerable individuals and orphans across Kano State.
Speaking at Sarkin Dori Sulaimanu Hospital in Unguwar Lokon Maƙera, Kofar Na’isa, the Chairman of the Foundation, Alhaji Yusuf Umar Kashe Kwabo, said the initiative is being implemented in several strategic locations within the state.
The program includes eye examinations, treatment of eye-related illnesses, and distribution of corrective eyeglasses, particularly to adults in Western and Islamic education.
The foundation had provided eye care services, reading glasses, and medications to about 300 beneficiaries. The foundation also conducted free circumcision for 200 orphans during the current cold season.
Kashe Kwabo noted that the initiative aims to ease the financial burden on guardians and serve as an act of charity.
Beneficiaries who require eye surgery are referred to designated hospitals for free treatment.
Kashe Kwabo emphasized that the initiative is humanitarian, not political. “Our focus is purely on supporting orphans and the less privileged,” he said.
Beneficiaries Alhaji Sani Yahaya Lokon Maƙera and Hadiza Uba Abdullahi Kabara thanked the foundation for the services, which will help them with daily activities and studies.
