What could have been an away victory by Manchester United in Europa League ‘quarter final qualifying stage was averted by Andre Onana
The game ,watched by full house in the French city of Lyonnaise started with each side making frantic effort to get the curtain raiser.
Their effort did not come to fruition until the middle of play when home team scored first and later on the visitors equalised some minutes to the end of the first half
through their central defender Lenny Yoro
At resumption of the second half, the game continued as such until the tail end of the match when Zirkzee made the good use of a cross by skipper Bruno Fernandez to make the tie two goals to one in favour of the guest
But some second to the end of the added minutes of the duel, United goalie Andre Onana, failed to hold a rebound and the host striker called Cherki, did not waste time as he converted it to the net to make the encounter two all
The second leg will come up next week at the famous Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester City to determine who scales through to the last four
