High flying Kano Pillars Sai Masu Gida will on Wednesday meet Akwa United of Uyo in a rescheduled league tie
The encounter is expected to hold at Pillars den Sani Abacha Stadium by four O’clock
Pillars, fresh from their victory in Kano State chapel of President Federation Cup after thrashing uprising Barau Football Team in an energy sapping game will not allow this golden chance to slip out from their hands lightly as the league is progressing
The ancient city side who have thirty six points will also engage Enugu Rangers next week all in the country’s top flight at home
Thus, the team which is under caretaker tactician Yaro Yaro Zagalo have to work collectively aimed at securing the vital points as it would improve their chances of winning the competition or at least earning continental ticket during the upcoming football season
On the other hand, the promise keepers as Akwa United were fondly called, despite their precarious position in the league will not fold their arms and allow the host to beat them easily without putting a strong fight
Based on the development , the Pyramid city Lads players under Super Eagles Skipper Ahmed Musa and Rabiu Ali Pele have to buckle up in that respect so as to make their teeming fans in both Kano and beyond happy as during their first match they were walloped by the Uyo invaders at Godswill Akpabio Stadium as such one could not lie if he said the duel is a pay back time
But as football is unpredictable , anything is possible.
