In my previous write up when Pillars drew with Heartland at home I attributed the stalemate to lack of concentration on the part of defense and goalkeeping
This was what reoccurred on Saturday afternoon at Lafia stadium in Nasarawa State as the team conceded two early goals against played simi host Lobi Stars
Thus I subscribed to the saying of the team’s gaffer Usman Abdullah that he would take reasonable action on the matter going by how the back yard of the ancient city side has become pourous before it degenerate as the league is too early to call
Meaning, with how things have changed no one could predict what could happen whether a club is playing at home or away soil
But lam pretty sure with added concentration and level of expertise of the coaching department, the lapses will be cemented and the dream of lifting the Cup for the fifth time will not be a pipe one as the gap between the Pyramid City Lads and Remo Stars who are leading the pack is surmountable
It is our prayers that the players will put additional courage, zeal, determination,, commitment and agility in their subsequent engagements so as to prove their mettle
The club’s next match at home which will be against Enyimba of Aba had since been put on hold as the Abia state side are having a continental engagement
They will then travel to Port Harcourt for a date against Rivers United
After which they will return home to settle scores with next door neighbours Katsina United at Sani Abacha Stadium
While appealing for tireless support from present administration with a view to ensuring the ends justify the means there is the need for club supporters to sit up as they have been doing to cheer the team to victory
