Members of the Rogo Youth Development Association residing in Kaduna State have called on the Kano State Government to urgently address critical infrastructure challenges affecting their communities.
The association, representing indigenes of Rogo Local Government living in Kaduna, specifically appealed for the construction of key roads linking Rogo, Gwangwan, Ruwan Bago, and Sundu.
In a statement issued to the Information Officer of Rogo Local Government, Abdu Bako Abdullahi, the Secretary of the association, Auwalu A. A. Daya, said the development of these roads would ease transportation and stimulate economic growth across the affected communities and Kano State at large.
He noted that the proposed road network covers several agrarian communities, stressing that improved access would significantly enhance agricultural productivity and boost food supply within the state.
The association also called for the immediate repair of a damaged bridge that has remained unusable since last year’s rainy season, explaining that its collapse has disrupted the movement of both dry-season and wet-season farm produce.
With the rainy season approaching, the group urged the government to act swiftly, while acknowledging ongoing efforts in infrastructure development.
The association commended the ongoing road project from Rogo through Bari to Falgore, facilitated by the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Isma’il Falgore.
They also acknowledged plans by the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to construct a road from Tsamiyar Mai Baba through Kwanar Jajaye to Ba’awa in Kiru Local Government Area, noting that the project would enhance commercial activities, particularly around the busy Jajaye market.
The association further praised the governor’s achievements in key sectors such as education, healthcare, security, and overall development across the state.
