The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kano State Chapter, has suspended two of its members, Jabir Hassan and Ashiru Rabiu Gidan Tudu, from all association activities pending an investigation into alleged misconduct.
The chapter announced the suspension in a statement, saying the decision followed alleged misconduct and derogatory remarks against the association during an online programme.
According to the statement, a disciplinary committee has been constituted to investigate the allegations and recommend appropriate action.
It added that the chapter would communicate its final decision upon the completion of the investigation.
SWAN Kano urged its members to uphold the association’s ethics, values and professional standards, while advising them to channel their grievances, suggestions and advice through the appropriate channels.
The chapter reaffirmed its commitment to promoting professionalism, mutual respect and the integrity of the association.
