Nigerians for some months now, especially the ordinary citizens have been having a field day due to the fallen prices of local foodstuffs unlike what experienced during the past a situation that brought joy and happiness to the faces of emaciated country men and women who could not afford three square meals on daily basis as a result of draconian economic policies
But if recent stories where anything to go by
the excitement being expressed will be transient or temporarily as harsh times are in the offing
This was as a result of the newly introduced Tinubu Tax Reform which will be effective as early as next year which from all indications will make life for ordinary Nigerians unbearable or more difficult as the situation will go out of hand
Thus the problem will quadruple more than ever before hence the need for one and all to sit up in challenging the policy wholeheartedly in view of its disadvantageous effect to the commoners
The saying in some quarters that the law will only affect manufacturers was bogus as anything that touches producers must surely have an effect on the end users
Unequivocally,people should keep their political or religious affiliation aside but unite in showing their disenchantment over the new policy which will become implementable soon
Rightly speaking, poverty is our number one enemy and anything that may lead to such a quagmire should be protested vehemently by one and all
Particularly at this period that religious festivities like fasting and Sallah celebration and other activities that need colossal expenditure are fast approaching
At this juncture,our Friday mosque imams should brace up during weekly Fridays sermon in enlightening the wider majority on the ills of the new law in view of the cholesterol damage it will cause to the greater majority hence the need for the authority concern to think twice as they are on their seats as a result of the mandate they got from the electorate
People should take this matter seriously not lightly as it is not speculation or grape vine issues but real and impeccable that needs human attention

I wish that only those of them that are having a full grasp of the national political terrain would participate or, let them use caution and take advisory roles lest they lose their fatherly respect from gullible electorates.
