This what part of the communique issued at the end of a two-day workshop organized by the Kano state ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs on farm mapping,data collection and record keeping for enhanced crops production for food security in Kano and Nigeria as a whole.
The workshop was staged for Heads of Agriculture and Natural Resources with their sectional heads, was held at kaduna.
Presenting the resolution the drafting committee Chairman who doubles as Head of Agriculture Department in Minjibir Local Government, Ibrahim Muhammad , said the house unanimously stressed the need for
Strategic training for extension workers to build their capacities especially at the grassroots.
-It also calls for mapping out tools aimed at helping their operations.
Likewise implored the need for adequate coordination of farmers Association and inclusive training.
It nevertheless entails establishment of a Soil Test Laboratory at least one for each of the three senatorial zones.
The blue print further recommended that the ministry for Local Government should provide a standard and uniform data based for information gathering and dessimination across farming communities statewide with a view to ensuring cross fertilization of knowledge
The gathering however lauded the state Governor for footing the bill of the fora not minding how the economy is biting harder
