Utility Committee Inaugurated in Dambatta

As part of efforts to ensure the effective protection and maintenance of public infrastructure, a ten-member Utility Committee has been inaugurated by the Dambatta Local Government Council.

The committee is chaired by the District Head of Dambatta and Sarkin Bai of Kano, Dr. Mansur Mukhtar, with Alhaji Abba Tukur serving as Secretary.

While inaugurating the committee, the Council Chairman, Alhaji Jamilu Abubakar, stated that the committee is tasked with providing accurate information on the status of solar streetlights—both functional and faulty—ensuring maintenance and repairs of electricity infrastructure in towns and villages, and offering constructive suggestions to the local council for sustainable development.

Alhaji Jamilu further emphasized the importance of involving credible individuals residing in strategic locations to facilitate the smooth execution of the committee’s responsibilities.

He called on the residents of Dambatta to give their full support and cooperation to the committee members to enable them achieve significant results.

In a response delivered on his behalf, the District Head of Dambatta, Sarkin Bai of Kano, Dr. Mansur Mukhtar, represented by Alhaji Baba Ado Mukhtar, assured the public of the committee’s commitment to work diligently and inclusively for sustainable development. He pledged that the committee would justify the confidence entrusted in them.
