Gwarzo local government council has embarked on the rehabilitation of over two hundred dysfunctional hand pump boreholes in ten wards of the Area.
Protem chairman of the Council, Dr.Mani Tsoho stated this during the commissioning of the reactivated facilities at Zango quarters of the town.
Dr.Mani Tsoho said the project when completed will improve domestic activities which he said have retarded drastically within the length and breadth of the Area.
He added that a sixteen member hand pumps and borehole committee has already been inaugurated under Hamza Lawan Dakwara which term of reference is to overcome the perennial issue .
On his part Director personnel Management of the council , Alh.Ubale Magaji urged people to play their part in safeguarding the items against vandals
He lauded Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for according the council active financial and logistic support which he said will facilitate the execution of the project and other reliable ones
Speaking on behalf of the Community, Malam Hussaini Rabiu Abdullahi and Mustapha Bala Zango thanked the council for its foresightedness which he said will help in no small measure in providing succour to the broader environment
