Chairman of Kano Independent Electoral Commission Professor Sani Lawan has charged staffers of the outfit to be non partisan in the conduct of their routine assignments.
The University Don was speaking in his maiden interaction with workers of the organisation at assumption of office.
He underscored the need for them to uphold sincerity of purpose, dedication of duty and above all sacrifice in observing their enshrined duties so as to exonerate themselves from wild criticism.
He pointed out that as the Loca pollsl is fast approaching the focus of all eyes especially that of politicians will be on them hence the need to be incorruptible in their manners.
The Chairman who said his primary goal is to run a blameless exercise ,stressed the need for their unalloyed cooperation to attain set target.
Professor Sani Lawan explained that as impartial umpire, he would make equality and honesty his watchword and enjoined the wider population to inform him whenever he made mistake as according to him as human being he ismistake bound.
He used the medium to hail Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf for finding him worthy of the l appointment likewise his team of Commissioners whom he said are cream of people of proven integrity that have exalted themselves in various public and private organisations they worked before stressing that he has no doubt they would accord him the necessary support to shoulder the huge challenge before him.
It would be recalled that Professor Sani Lawan a sociologist, once navigated the affairs of the commission as early as 2011 during the second tenure of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on the governorship seat of the state.
